I worked on this movie for a year at Laika in Portland, Oregon. My job as part of the puppet fabrication moldmaking team was to mold all soft and hard parts of the main characters. The other half of my time I spent as a puppet fabricator for the background puppet crew where we built the entire puppet from armature to silicone casting. We also fabricated origami puppets which was the most exciting challenge.
